Underground Arts
callowhill
underground arts is a 650 capacity club in the basement of the wolf building at 12th and callowhill, which opened in 2013 after architect gary reuben turned the space into an incubator for music, art, and performance. it's a 12,000 square foot space with two rooms, the main concert room and a smaller black box, and a bar. it's booked with the bowery presents and rising sun presents, and the bills run from rock to metal, hip hop, and electronic, with acts like guided by voices, thee oh sees, khruangbin, car seat headrest, and the gza. shows are standing and mostly 21+.
