Philly Style Pizza

north philly★ diy

philly style pizza & grill is a pizzeria on broad st near temple that doubles as a diy venue. owner michael chen took over in 2021, and the live music started after he asked a group of tired students waiting on their slices why they looked so beat and they said they'd just played a basement show. he told them to play there instead, and a band called 'trouble at the doormat' kicked it off. most weekends have some sort of show going on featuring local temple and drexel bands playing everything from hardcore and punk to alt rock and jazz. pizza by the slice is available for sale during gigs
