the mann, now officially the highmark mann, is a nonprofit outdoor amphitheater in west fairmount park that opened in 1976 as the summer home of the philadelphia orchestra. it's the largest seated outdoor venue in the city, with the td pavilion holding up to about 14,000 (roughly 4,500 covered), and the smaller skyline stage which is a general admission stage up the hill holding a few thousand
