the du bois-robeson people's center, or drpc, is a grassroots community space on baltimore ave in west philly, open since 1986 as an independent lending library, bookstore, reading room, and meeting space tied to the west philadelphia club of the communist party. it's hosted political education talks, workshops, and community events for decades, and younger members started using it as a low cost music venue for bands and artists.
